What to Expect

Whether you’re new to church, returning after time away, or have attended for years, we want you to feel welcomed and at home from the moment you arrive.


We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to allow time for parking, grabbing a cup of coffee, and finding your seat.


Here’s what you can expect:

For babies & preschoolers, elementary children, middle schoolers, and high school students.


In each ministry, kids learn in engaging, age-appropriate environments led by people who genuinely love children and love Jesus. Our goal is to help every child feel welcomed, cared for, and encouraged as they grow in their faith.

Where should I go once I arrive?

Feel free to park in one of the designated visitor parking spaces – we’ll have a greeter at the door to welcome you and point you in the right direction.

What will happen at my first visit?

Relax and enjoy. We will not ask you to stand up or make a fuss. We’ll shake your hand and say hello. Many people want to check out our church quietly for a while, and that is perfectly fine. Come see if Burlington is the right fit for you.


If you are comfortable; please stop by our welcome desk to fill out a visitor card, chat with our amazing volunteers and pick up a little ’thank you gift’ for sharing your Sunday with us

What is your dress code?

Don’t worry about what to wear. Burlington is a multicultural, multigenerational church. You’ll feel at home whether you’re in jeans or something dressier. God doesn’t care what you wear, and neither do we.

What programs are available for kids & students?

We have separate programming for

All leaders pass a background and spiritual formation check.


Connect with a Welcome Desk volunteer or greeter and they will guide you to the appropriate program for your families needs.

Do you have a check-in process for kids?

Yes. We ask first-time guest complete brief paperwork that gives us pertinent information about the child(ren) that will be staying in the children’s area during Bible Study and/or Worship Service. Add link to form for pre-reg

How can I meet others & get connected?

Some of the best growth happens outside the sanctuary:

  • → Next Steps Class — A quarterly 2-3 hours class about what being fully devoted to Jesus looks like at Burlington.
  • → Life Groups â€” small groups meeting throughout the week in homes and restaurants.
  • → Classes & Conferences — check the events page and subscribe to our newsletter.
  • → Serve in a ministry — discover your gifts and connect with the right team.
